Alison Doody

Alison Doody has been an Irish actor and model since November 11, 1996. Her feature film debut was in a minor role on The James Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). Later she played the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Photographer approached Doody Doody decided to take up modeling that eventually led to an industry-related career in modelling. Doody was adamantly against glamour and sexually explicit work. This was a policy was extended to her acting career. When she was dragged into the sights to the director of casting for a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of 12 Promising New Actors of 1986 by John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Doody was just turning age 18 when she was given the character as a Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bondgirl to date. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) which starred Mickey Rourke, also featured one of her roles as IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias, in his dream in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first leading part. The episode aired in 1988 alongside John Hurt, Dawn French along with Jennifer Saunders. The actress acted alongside Pierce Brosnan in the film Taffin (1988) before she took possibly her most famous role in her career in the role of Austrian Nazi-sympathiser as well as archaeologist The Dr. Elsa Schneider in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in which she starred alongside Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody is a co-star with three actors in the role of James Bond. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries the British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Following her move to Hollywood, Doody became a star. She played Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody was a part of The 2003 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony in recognition of an award. Doody was a co-star, along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version of King Solomon's Mines. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). She guested in RTE's the medical thriller The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She starred in We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. The Almeria the tierra de film prize was awarded to her on the 21st of November, 2018. The actress also was given an award on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
